The cheaters, I mean Hendrick, crew chiefs are back after serving their suspensions. Chad Knaus and Steve Letarte are back in control of their teams. This latest suspension did little to slow down these 2 teams who seem destined to finish 1 - 2 in the chase standings. Now is the time to see if Tony Stewart has anything for these 2 teams at full power.

Looking at my watch, it is about time for the Cubs to start loosing. A series with the St. Louis Cardinals should do the trick. Let me hear from you Cubs fans about how this is your year. Then in a month I’ll let you tell me “wait till next year.”

Tiger Woods, yesterday, shot a PGA record 62 1/2 at Southern Hills. Too bad for Tiger that the PGA doesn’t recognize those halves. The official record is 63, which he officially tied yesterday at the PGA Championships, the last major of the year. Not being satisfied with just breaking all the current records, Tiger should fight to create some new ones. Like being the first golfer to record a 1/2 shot at a tournament. Anyone know a good sports lawyer that could fight the case for Tiger. It will take some convincing to get the tour to recognize this new feat.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about here, where have you been? Tiger officially shot a 63, but the last hole rimmed the cup. Shots don’t get any closer to going in than that final birdie shot for Tiger. With it rimming out, he had to settle for a record tying 63.

No way! Players are not innocent until proven guilty in the NFL. The league and commissioner, Roger Goodell, are dictators. They can cut off your head (suspend you) at their leisure. They tell the players how to dress (on and off the field), they tell them how to act (on and off the field), they tell them exactly how to wear their uniforms while on the field (socks must be pulled up, shirt tucked in, etc). Freedom of speach? Nope. If they criticize an official, they can expect a hefty fine. NFL players have not had a sense of independence in over 20 years, Michael Vick should not expect any such freedoms now. Goodell should kick him out of the league if he is really serious about cleaning up its image.

So I was watching the Colts and Cowboys pre-season game tonight when they told a story about a new coach on the Colts. This new coach, sorry I forgot his name, was talking to a player about a mistake they made. Peyton Manning comes up to them and starts to say something to the other player. The coach stops him and says “excuse me, but I’m coaching him right now”. Peyton then tells the coach: “I just wanted to tell him the snap count”.
Think about that. Peyton Manning is arguably the smartest player in the league and he has something to tell a teammate, but this coach doesn’t want to hear it. Peyton should have just turned to the coach and said: “I don’t think we’ve met, I’m Payton Manning”.

5 or 25? I see 3 possibilities:
- This one seems the most likely in my opinion. Junior will stick with Budweiser and drive the number 25 next year. Casey Mears will drive the the 5 car. Years ago, Budweiser sponsored the number 25, so this would be a very logical choice.
- Junior will stick with Budweiser and DEI & HMS swap 9 for 5. This is only likely if Kyle Busch signs on with DEI. The result will be Junior driving his red #9 and Kyle Busch driving his Yellow & Blue #5.
- Junior starts his HMS career with a new number, 5, and a new sponsor, ????. This is the worst option for Juniors fans because they will have to buy new t-shirts, flags, caps, etc.

Dale Earnhardt jr is to replace Kyle Busch next season to join Hendrick Motorsports. Kyle will ask to be released from his contract making room for Jr. (Or. . .. . . . . . . . Kyle was asked to make room for Jr. to join Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson) If he wanted to go to a team where he can win a championship, Hendrick Motorsports is the place to be. So long Kyle, good ridden. Go wreck your brother or something. Hendricks now has another whiner to take your place at disrupting the collaboration in this team.

Now that the Dolphins have their QB for the upcoming 2007 season, it’s time to speculate as to where Culpepper will end up. I see 4 scenerios that seem the most likely for Culpepper’s future in the NFL. Let’s break them down and you decide how off you think I am.
- Culpepper stays with the Dolphins and starts the season as Green’s backup. Trent Green still has a strong arm and could really be successful in Miami, so there would be no guarantee that Culpepper would ever get a shot. Not to mention the high price tag that comes with keeping him on their team. This option is the least likely to happen.
- Culpepper could just get released from the Dolphins and wind up with any team in the league, but most likely with 1 of the 2 teams that are mentioned in the options 3 & 4 below.
- Culpepper could get traded/signed with the Jaguars. The Jaguars currently have a starter in Byron Leftwich, however he has failed to impress the last couple years and could be replaced with an experienced QB like Culpepper. Culpepper has already experienced success with current Jaguars Assistant, Mike Tice, when they were together in Minnesota.
- Culpepper could get traded/signed with the Atlanta Falcons. That’s right, the Falcons. Don’t tell me that you don’t think Michael Vick won’t be in prison by season’s end. Vick’s character flaws are starting to wear think on the Falcon’s front office and fans. He is also no longer the winner that he once was. Culpepper could come in to Atlanta with his strong arm and be successful from the get-go.
- OK, I know I said 4 scenarios, but I had to throw in this last option. Culpepper could get released from the Dolphins and not get picked up with another team. He has shown with me, that he is a turnover prone QB that hasn’t shown anything when not teamed up with a WR named Randy Moss. Maybe if he’s given another chance, he can show the ability to be a top tier QB, but his history has not shown this to me.
What do you think?
Game On!

The game is finally over tonight. Now I have to scrape my jaw off the ground after watching King James take control of the game. If you haven’t heard, he scored the final 28 points by the Cavaliers, and all their overtime points, to lead them over the Pistons. Even with this domination, he showed a weakness in this game. He showed that he is stoppable when he goes to his left. Re-watch tonights game and you will notice that he didn’t go to his left when he took control of this game. The Pistons are a smart team, they will realize this and make some necessary changes going into game 6. This next game in Cleveland will be a must see. Tonights game made me change my pick as to the series winner. I now believe it will be Cleveland and San Antonio in the finals.
